Metrics are the specific data points you track (e.g., Sales, Labor Cost %, Speed of Service), and are nested under Categories.

Steps:
  1. Navigate to Store Settings > Metrics.
  2. Ensure you have created at least one Category.
  3. Click the Add Metric button.
  4. Fill in the metric details:
    • Category: Select the category this metric belongs to.
    • Metric Name: e.g., "Daily Sales".
    • Type: Choose Number, Currency ($), or Percentage (%).
    • Unit: e.g., "$", "%", "seconds".
    • Min/Max Value: Optional range validation.
  5. Click Create Metric.
  6. Once created, you can expand the category to configure additional settings:
    • Target: Set a target value for the metric.
    • Direction: Specify if "Higher is Better" (e.g., Sales) or "Lower is Better" (e.g., Food Cost).
    • Priority: Set as Critical, High, Medium, or Low.
    • Default View: Choose how the metric is visualized by default (e.g., Trend vs Dimensions).
Tip: You can also use the Upload Data feature to auto-detect and create metrics from your reports.
